Custom Burton Concrete got started in 2017 right here in Burton, Michigan - a city where most families own their homes and take real pride in keeping them up. The founders grew up watching older homes in the area develop the same problems decade after decade: driveways cracked by Michigan winters, patios that never drained right, sidewalks heaved by frost. They figured there had to be a better way to do this work.

Burton is a working-class community. Homes here were mostly built in the 1950s through 1970s, and that housing stock has specific needs - older foundations, clay-heavy soil that shifts with the seasons, and concrete that has been through 50 or 60 Michigan winters. We know what that looks like, because we see it every day in the neighborhoods where we work.

Over the years, we have grown to serve 12 communities across Genesee County and beyond, but Burton is still home base. Every crew we send out is trained to handle the conditions specific to mid-Michigan: the deep freeze lines, the freeze-thaw cycles, the road salt, the drainage challenges.
